The look of CEC Campus Life ministry has changed, but the mission remains the same. We engage teens to be lifelong followers of Jesus Christ!

As we monitor and respond to challenges posed by the coronavirus, we do so out of an overriding commitment to health and care for the leaders and young people we work with. In support of this value, we will observe the following: We will extend our no face-to-face ministry with young people, in any ministry model, through April 17th. We will reevaluate in early April to determine if that date needs extended or shortened. We are doing this out of an abundance of caution to do what we can to help minimize the spread of the virus. We desire to connect with young people face-to-face, in order to do so, we will be creative and faithful during this unique opportunity.

As we do virtual ministry for this season, we will be wise with how we use technology. For virtual video appointments, it must be done with a 2:1 (2 leaders with 1 student) or 1:2 ratio (1 leader with 2 young people)

Campus Life has been meeting in Chillicothe since the late 1960's. For the first time ever, Middle School Campus Life was launched in 2019 at CEC. We currently meet Thursday nights for a 5:30pm Zoom Virtual Club! The students are greeted with music, friends, and fun.  It is an extremely energetic, relational and safe opportunity for students to connect with their peers, leaders and hear more about God.

What is Campus Life?

Campus Life is a program of Youth for Christ, a non-profit organization that has been active throughout the United States since 1944.  There are currently over 160 sites located throughout 40 states engaging with over 100,000 students each week. Along with fantastic trips and events, our weekly Thursday morning Campus Life club address' issues students face while relating them to basic Christian principles.

Who can come?

CEC Campus Life isn't just for one kind of teen, it is for everyone. It is open to any student regardless of their race, gender, religious beliefs, or economic circumstances. We would encourage you to speak to Meg Byrne, mbyrne@yfcpa.org, to learn more specifics.

What is Campus Life like?

You just have to experience it for yourself - you're always welcome!  Campus Life is a positive place where students can go to have fun with friends, talk about relevant issues and be heard without judgment. It’s a place where students are challenged to make good decisions and lead in positive ways in their school.

Where do we meet?

Currently, virtual only. We interact with teens via group social media sites, Zoom, Google Hangout & text/phone when parents have given us approval.
