Chillicothe Campus Life has maintained a long presence of active ministry in the community for 50+ years. Historically, primary emphasis was placed upon IVC High School (approx 650 students) with more recent efforts expanding to include CEC Middle School (approx 250 students).
Heart of Illinois Chapter
The Heart of Illinois Chapter of Youth for Christ is a growing collection of YFC Ministry Sites across five Central Illinois counties with engagement in 35+ schools & juvenile detention centers. HOI embraces the following Ministry Models: Campus Life, City Life, Juvenile Justice Ministries and Deaf Teen Quest. HOI employees vary significantly in age, gender, ethnicity, education & experience. HOI has several employees who assist with National YFC leadership teams.
Position Summary
The Campus Life Site Director is a position that requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, and strong communication skills. The Site Director must embrace and build a team that embodies YFC’s Cultural Attributes.

Contacting - meeting new students

Essential Functions
Ministry Team Development (60%)
Recruit, train, and maintain volunteer ministry leader team in accordance with the processes found in the Knowledge Base
Create a strong connection between local churches and the ministry site
Provide training materials and ministry site standards for ministry leaders
Develop healthy 3 Story teams for each ministry site
Establish necessary support and guidelines to ensure healthy and growing ministry at all sites
Be an advocate in the community for students
Report progress and ministry updates to YFC
Relational Ministry Action Development (30%)
Responsible for managing, facilitating and serving in the Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs)
Direct the 3 Story Team at their site in accomplishing the standards outlined in the RMAs found in the Knowledge Base
Establish and develop programming materials
Train and evaluate ministry site leaders in the implementation of curriculum materials
Spiritual Responsibilities
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to students and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.
As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:
Seek God’s guidance and wisdom through prayer and meditation for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression. YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.

Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
3-5 years of Student Ministry experience in church or parachurch organization
Fundraising Responsibilities
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fundraising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls and personally ministering to donor contacts.

Salary & Benefits
HOI YFC utilizes a Salary Schedule based on multiple factors including education, years of experience and more. Salary levels are reviewed on an annual basis at a minimum or as job roles/responsibilities change over time. Benefits for full-time employees typically include life insurance, health care compensation, dental insurance, long-term disability, matching retirement and technology provisions.
